16 bed extension including washrooms, rest area and ancillary works.
Works were carried out within a live community hospital campus where consideration had to be given to the hospital occupants and staff. Works were planned to limit noise and dust.
Works were planned and executed on a phased basis to minimise disruption and maximise the space available to the hospital at any given point. Phases were reviewed at stages during the project to look for improvements in the plan where possible.
Foul and storm sewer lines and well as heating and electrical services had to be maintained during the project. This required temporary and permanent diversions.
Delivery times were planned to avoid changes of shift within the hospital. Due to the limited available site compound Cahalane Bros planned just in time deliveries.
