Cahalane Brothers Ltd carried out the full refurbishment of the ground and second floor of the building. The bank was maintained in operation throughout the works by a combination of phased possessions and weekend working. Works included installation of new secure line partitions, banking equipment, floor coverings, concealed grid suspended ceilings, fitted furniture, security shutters and an extended cash transfer building.
Cahalane Brothers were responsible as PSCS for the project. A weekly report was given on progress, programmed works and security. With 26 contractors on site over a single weekend period works required careful co-ordination and supervision to ensure the bank could re-open the following Monday morning.
Over €1m of works was delivered successfully in a ten week period.
